  • 250 grams unsweetened chocolate
  • 55 grams cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 250 grams granulated sugar
  • 140 grams unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 grams salt
  • 160 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 70 grams chopped walnuts

How to Make European Brownies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make European Brownies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Melt butter and chocolate together in a bain-marie (double saucepan), remove from heat
  • Step 2
  • Add cocoa powder and stir to avoid lumps, allow to cool
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl beat eggs together with sugar, salt and vanilla extract
  • Step 4
  • Now slowly add flour (to this last eggs+sugar+salt mix) and keep stirring
  • Step 5
  • Add also melted chocolate and butter to the same bowl
  • Step 6
  • When the mixture is homogenous add walnuts
  • Step 7
  • Line a square baking pan with parchment paper and grease it
  • Step 8
  • Put your homemade mix in the pan and cook for 35 minutes at 180°C
  • Step 9
  • Let the brownie rest for an hour then take it out of the pan and cut in squares!
