  • 8 cup chicken stock
  • 1 lb beans [ I use a 10 bean mix for sprouts]
  • 1 lb smoked turkey [meat is optional]
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • veggies
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 3 large carrots sliced thick
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, chopped
  • 2 large zucchini, halved and sliced into 1 inch thick chunks.
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 3 cup spinach
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • seasonings
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp savory
  • 1 1/2 tsp chopped parsley

How to Make Farmer's soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Farmer's soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add 2 cups water, chicken stock and tomato to 1 lb of beans in a large pot. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low.
  • Step 2
  • Cook for 2 hours.
  • Step 3
  • After the 2 hrs are up. add all your veggies except the spinach. Add seasonings.
  • Step 4
  • Simmer on low for 45 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Add the spinach and simmer for 15 minutes. Taste your broth and add salt and black pepper.
