  • 6 medium mushrooms
  • 1 drizzle of olive oil
  • garlic salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • mixed herbs
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 jalapeno deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp tomato pesto
  • 1 tsp basil pesto
  • feta cheese
  • pinch paprika

How to Make Feta Baked Mushroom

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Feta Baked Mushroom in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Remove stems from mushrooms. Finely chop stems and reserve for later use.
  • Step 2
  • Place mushrooms into a baking dish with the hollow ends facing upwards.
  • Step 3
  • Drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic salt, black pepper and mixed herbs.
  • Step 4
  • Place about 1/2 tsp of olive oil into a pan. Once hot, add in the cumin seeds.
  • Step 5
  • Add in garlic and stir.

  • Now add in the chopped mushroom stems and chopped jalapeno.
  • Step 7
  • Allow mushroom stems to cook then remove from heat. Allow mixture to cool slightly.
  • Step 8
  • Once cooled, mix in the tomato pesto and basil pesto.
  • Step 9
  • Season with a small amount of salt and pepper.
  • Step 10
  • Now stuff mushrooms with mixture.
  • Step 11
  • Top with bits of feta and sprinkle with paprika.
  • Step 12
  • Bake at 180° Celsius until cooked. Roughly 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Step 13
  • Serve and enjoy as a starter or side.
