  • 1/2 Japanese leek
  • 2 blocks Firm tofu
  • 1 -1 1/2 teaspoons Grated ginger
  • 1 Sesame oil
  • 150 grams Minced chicken
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp ・ Sugar
  • 1 tbsp ・ Mentsuyu
  • 1 tbsp ・ Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ・ Water
  • 1 small package Bonito flakes

How to Make Filling and Healthy! Delicious Soboro Tofu

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Filling and Healthy! Delicious Soboro Tofu in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Finely chop the Japanese leek. Chop up the top tip also to use it as a condiment. Rinse it with water in a colander, and drain it on paper towels.
  • Step 2
  • Drain the firm tofu and heat it up in the microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Drain the water after heating it as well.
  • Step 3
  • Wrap the tofu with paper towels and top it with a weight to push out more excess water. (Combine the ・ ingredients)
  • Step 4
  • Heat the sesame oil on a skillet, sauté the grated ginger until fragrant and add the ground chicken. Once the chicken is browned, season it with salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
  • When the chicken cooks through, add the chopped Japanese leek and stir-fry the ingredients. Add the ・ ingredients from Step 3.
  • Step 6
  • Take the weight off the tofu, wipe off the excess water with paper towels, then transfer the tofu onto a serving plate.
  • Step 7
  • Top the tofu with the stir-fried soboro crumbles.
  • Step 8
  • Sprinkle the bonito flakes and the chopped green leek, and it is done!
