  • 60 grams Milk chocolate
  • 15 grams Unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp Instant coffee
  • 2 Eggs
  • 40 ml Heavy cream

How to Make Fragrant Comforting Chocolate Mousse

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Fragrant Comforting Chocolate Mousse in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Finely chop the chocolate. Dissolve the coffee in 1 tablespoon of hot water. Separate the eggs into egg yolks and whites.
  • Step 2
  • Put the chocolate and butter in a bowl, and melt in a double boiler at 45 ~ 50℃ (110 ~ 120°F).
  • Step 3
  • Remove the mixture from the double boiler. Add coffee and stir.
  • Step 4
  • Add the egg yolks one by one, and mix.
  • Step 5
  • Pour the egg whites in a different bowl. Whip until it forms stiff peaks to make a meringue.
  • Step 6
  • Add 1/3 of the meringue to Step 4 and mix it 5 ~ 6 times in a circular motion.
  • Step 7
  • Add the remaining meringue, and fold it in with a diagonal cutting motion. Don't mix too much.
  • Step 8
  • Pour into molds, and chill well in the fridge. (At least for 4 hours.)
  • Step 9
  • Whip the heavy cream until it has thickened.
  • Step 10
  • Pour it on top of the chilled mousse and serve!
