  • 400 ml tomato puree/passata
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 200 grams frankfurters
  • seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch thyme
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • final touch
  • 50 grams grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Frankfurter Pasta Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Frankfurter Pasta Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Finely chop the onion and put it on low heat together with olive oil, until translucent
  • Step 2
  • Slice frankfurters in thin slices or small pieces and put them together with onions
  • Step 3
  • Cook for few minutes until they turn darker and the good smell is spreading!
  • Step 4
  • Add tomato puree/passata
  • Step 5
  • Add seasonings and cook with lid on for 5 minutes (you can add hot water if the sauce become too thick)
  • Step 6
  • Sauce is ready to be added on pasta, don't forget to add some grated Parmesan on it!
