  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 each eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 8 tbsp butter, melted
  • 4 large pears

How to Make French pear cake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make French pear cake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 2
  • Whisk together dry ingredients.
  • Step 3
  • Peel and core pears. Cut into slices.
  • Step 4
  • Beat eggs until foamy. Whisk in sugar and vanilla. Stir in 1/2 of the melted butter.
  • Step 5
  • Stir in the dry ingredients, then the remaining butter.
  • Step 6
  • Fold in the pears and mix until well coated in batter. Pour into a greased cake pan. Spread out evenly with a spatula. To make it pretty, you might want to arrange the pear slices neatly over the top.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • Serve with a big spoonful of goat cheese whipped cream.
