  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (I use extra)

  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 3 cup milk
  • 10 cup bread cubes ( approximately 1 regular sized loaf)
  • 8 eggs

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2
  • Lightly grease a 9 X 13 inch baking dish.
  • Step 3
  • Line the bottom of the pan with the bread cubes.

  • In a large bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, 4 tablespoons of the sugar, the salt and vanilla.
  • Step 5
  • Pour the mixture over the bread.
