  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices bread
  • maple syrup, warmed

How to Make French Toast

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make French Toast in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, combine, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and set aside briefly.
  • Step 2
  • In a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Step 3
  • Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow container such as a pie plate.
  • Step 4
  • Dip bread in egg mixture. Fry slices until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side.
  • Step 5
  • Serve with syrup.
