  • 1/2 cup + 1/3C flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 canola oil for frying
  • 12 pickle spears, patted dry

How to Make Fried Pickles

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Fried Pickles in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In bowl, mix 1/2C flour, cornmeal, baking pwdr, garlic pwdr, salt & cayenne. Stir in beer; let batter stand 15min to thicken.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, in nonstick skillet, heat 2" oil to 375*F. Coat pickles one at a time in remaining 1/3C flour; dip in batter to cover completely.
  • Step 3
  • Fry in batches, turning occasionally until golden; 3-4min. Drain on paper towel.
