Ingredients: Fried potatoes

  • 5 Potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 An onion diced finely.
  • 1 oil for pan frying the potatoes
  • 1 butter for frying the onion
  • 1 Garlic salt however much you want. I use about a teaspoon or two. I eyeball it.

How to Make Fried potatoes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Fried potatoes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Peel and slice the potatoes using a mandlin or a knife.Wash the potatoes. Peel and dice 1/2 the onion finely. Save rest of the onion for something else.
  • Step 2
  • In a skillet heat oil for the potatoes. Melt butter in a separate pan about a tablespoon.
  • Step 3
  • Saute Onions the onions til softened then add garlic salt. Continue to saute the onions til browned and have a sweet smell.
  • Step 4
  • Fry your potatoes til browned and are soft.
  • Step 5
  • Add the onions to the potatoes and mix. Cook them for a few minutes and continue mixing til the onions are scattered through out the potatoes.
  • Step 6
  • Drain some of the extra grease and plate them up. They are ready to eat. You can add smoked sausage to this and make just this for dinner or as a side with a meat and vegetable. Enjoy.
