  • 1 packages firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp chopped lemongrass
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sambal chili
  • 1 tsp tumeric

How to Make Fried tofu in lemongrass

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Fried tofu in lemongrass in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Open and drain water out of tofu package. Use paper towels to firmly squeeze dry the tofu. Any water on tofu will pop and splatter all over when frying.
  • Step 2
  • Sliver diagnally on one side of tofu, not too deep, flip and slice opposite diagnally on the other side. Optionally can make slits all around. Put on plate.
  • Step 3
  • In small bowl, add lemongrass, salt, hot pepper, tumeric. Mix well. Wear gloves to gently put mixture in slits of tofu. Tumeric will stain hands.
  • Step 4
  • Can let it sit in fridge to marinate it better, or just fry it if in a hurry. Flip tofu on both sides when frying. Serve with rice and vegetables. (I like to leave it in bag to marinate and fry only what i plan to eat)
