  • meat mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packages taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup water
  • cheesy soup mixture
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 1/2 can Ro*tel
  • Other ingredients
  • 1/2 bag fritos (9 oz )
  • 1 can pinto beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 shredded cheddar/jack cheese mix
  • OptionalToppings
  • 1 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 chopped lettuce
  • 1 sour cream
  • 1 guacamole

How to Make Frito Mexican Casserole

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Frito Mexican Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Turn oven to 350° Brown ground beef in a saucepan on the stove then drain grease.
  • Step 2
  • Add taco seasoning and water. Bring to a boil. Turn burner to low and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl mix cheddar cheese soup, green onions, cumin, cayenne, crushed garlic clove and 1/2 can Rotel. (You can add more Rotel if want cheese mixture to be thick, creamy and pourable)
  • Step 4
  • Spray a 9x11 with non-stick cooking spray. Layer casserole dish with fritos first, now layer beans then taco meat and pour cheese mixture on meat. Top with lots of yummy shredded cheese to cover completely.
  • Step 5
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
  • Step 6
  • Add you favorite toppings after baking.
