  • 1/2 kg Gram Flour / Grabanzo Bean Flour
  • 3 medium Potato
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 each Green Chilli
  • Spices
  • salt
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • 2 tsp Black Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp White Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriandar Seeds
  • vegetable oil
  • water

How to Make Fritters (Pakorey)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Fritters (Pakorey) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a mixing bowl, put in gram flour. Add enough water to make a thick paste. Remember, the mixture should NOT be runny. It must have a thick consistency
  • Step 2
  • In the mixture, add all spices. Set away for half hour
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, dice potatoes. Dices should be small. also chop onions and green chilies
  • Step 4
  • After half hour, add the vegetables mentioned in above steps into the mixture
  • Step 5
  • Bring oil to heat in a wok.
  • Step 6
  • In hot oil, using a spoon, toss the mixture. Keep them medium sized
  • Step 7
  • Fry the fritters till they are golden brown
  • Step 8
  • Dish them out on a plate lined with tissue paper to absorb excess oil
  • Step 9
  • Serve hot with a ketchup dip
