Ingredients: Garlic Chicken Pasta

  • 300 grams Chicken breast
  • 400 grams Canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 100 grams Spaghetti
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

How to Make Garlic Chicken Pasta

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Garlic Chicken Pasta in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Get your ingredients together, dice the onion, roughly chop the garlic and cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  • Step 2
  • Heat the olive oil in a pan and cook the onion and garlic on a medium-high heat until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Step 3
  • Next, add the tomatoes, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. If you use whole tomatoes like I did here, gently break them down with a wooden spoon. Sprinkle in the basil, then lower the heat to medium and let this simmer for a few minutes.
  • Step 4
  • While the sauce is simmering, lightly brown the chicken in another pan.
  • Step 5
  • After a few minutes when the chicken is browned, add it to the sauce and mix well. Leave this to simmer for about 5 minutes. Lower the heat if things bubble too much
  • Step 6
  • Now add your pasta to a pan of boiling water along with 1/2 tsp salt. This should be on a higher heat - you want a rolling boil for pasta.
  • Step 7
  • When the pasta is cooked, around 7 minutes, drain it well, plate and spoon a generous helping of the chicken tomato mix on top. A quick topping of fresh ground pepper and serve!
