How to Make Gateau Chocolat

    Step 1
  • Preparations: Melt the chocolate and butter separately. Boil the cream.
  • Step 2
  • Add the boiled cream to the melted chocolate and mix.
  • Step 3
  • Add the egg yolks and mix. Then add the melted butter and blend together well.
  • Step 4
  • Mix together the flour and the cocoa powder, sift into the mixture and mix everything together.
  • Step 5
  • In a separate bowl, gently whip the egg whites. Add the sugar in 2-3 batches while whipping. Whip until peaks stand and a meringue is formed.
  • Step 6
  • Add the meringue to the Step 4 batter and gently mix. Pour into the mold about 80% full and bake in a oven preheated to 140°F celsius for 50-60 minutes.
  • Step 7
