  • 2 bunch green onion, sliced
  • 1 bunch leek, chopped
  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 15 baby carrots, sliced
  • 2 lb beef for stew
  • 2 polska keilbasa sausage, sliced
  • 2 vegetable bullion cubes
  • 2 can northern beans
  • 2 can navy beans
  • 1/4 cup parsley flakes, to taste
  • 1 1/2 tbsp pepper, add more to taste

How to Make German Bean Soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make German Bean Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • place beef and sausage in large pot, fill with just enough water to cover meat completely. cook over medium heat until fully cooked. remove meat from juice.
  • Step 2
  • place vegetables (onion, leek, potato, carrot) into meat juice. cook over medium heat until cooked completely.
  • Step 3
  • replace meat in pot with vegetables. drop in bullion cubes and dissolve completely.
  • Step 4
  • strain liquids out of bean cans, add beans to pot. add pepper and parsley to taste. cook over medium heat until heated through. serve.
