  • 600 ml Water
  • 2 tsp ▼ Chicken stock (granules)
  • 1 tbsp ▼ Sake
  • 1 tsp ~ give or take 1 dash ▼ Salt

How to Make Gingery Chicken and Tofu Hot Pot

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Gingery Chicken and Tofu Hot Pot in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the greens and tofu to a size of your liking. Cut the chicken thigh meat into bite sized pieces and sprinkle with just a little bit of sake.
  • Step 2
  • Fill an earthenware or iron pot with the water and soup stock and heat. Once the water starts boiling put in the chicken and the ▼ ingredients. Then when it starts to boil again add in the tofu, put the green in right before serving.
  • Step 3
  • Check to see if it needs more salt, otherwise, once the ingredients have been fully cooked it's ready. Don't forget to skim off the scum that rises to the surface.
  • Step 4
  • Garnish with scallions and ginger. That should be enough flavoring for the soup so it's ready to eat.
