  • 1 as needed Half or whole ham
  • 1 cup Jam: apricot is my favorite, but others work well too
  • 3 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Spicy mustard (any variety)
  • 1 dash Ground cloves

How to Make Glazed Ham

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Glazed Ham in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Prepare ham by locating the fat cap and slicing the top layer of rind off, but leave a layer of the fat over the meat.
  • Step 2
  • Next cut a cross hatch (diamond) pattern across the fat layer, but not through the meat.
  • Step 3
  • Bake the ham covered at 350°F according to cooking time for the weight of your ham. Will take about 10 minutes per pound.
  • Step 4
  • Mix glaze ingredients and set aside until last hour of cooking time.
  • Step 5
  • ***When about one hour is remaining for the cooking time, remove cover and begin basting the ham with the glaze every 15 minutes***
  • Step 6
  • Let ham rest 20 minutes or so before slicing and serving.
