Ingredients: Gracie's stuffed tomatoes

  • 2 red firm good sized tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrums
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 pinch of peper
  • 1/4 cup of any cheese you like.( i used store bought shreded mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil

How to Make Gracie's stuffed tomatoes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Gracie's stuffed tomatoes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 400°f
  • Step 2
  • Cut your tomatoes horizontally and scoop out pulp and seeds. Then salt the inside to get the extra water out and set upside down on a paper towel or wire rack for about 10 minutes or so.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile in a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, pepper, garlic salt, cheese, oil and mix together
  • Step 4
  • Take a spoon a fill each tomatoe half with the filling and sprinkle a little cheese on top (optional)
  • Step 5
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until tops are golden brown!:)
