  • 2/3 cup pearl barley
  • 1/4 cup beef soup base
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make grandma's vegetable beef soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • brown meat in the oil in a large stock pot.

  • pick out bay leaves before serving. this makes a wonderful comfort food for anyone ! I think of my grandma every time I make it .
