  • dressing
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano ( Mediterranean is best)

  • 1 head lettuce,torn into bite size pieces
  • 3 large plump tomatoes, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1 English cucumber, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into thin rings and soaked for 10 minutes in a small bowl of ice water to make it less sharp
  • 1 small green pepper, cut into thin rings
  • 3/4 cup olive
  • 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Greek salad in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Whisk dressing ingredients together until blended.
  • Step 2
  • Season to taste.
  • Step 3
  • Drain onion from ice water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Step 4
  • Combine all salad ingredients, except cheese,in large bowl.
  • Step 5
  • Toss the dressing
  • Step 6
  • Sprinkle cheese over and serve.
