  • 2 lb frozen green beans
  • 4 tbsp butter divided
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crushed corn flakes

    Step 1
  • Cook green beans for 45 minutes; drain well
  • Step 2
  • In saucepan melt 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in flour, salt,pepper, sugar and onion;

  • Cook on medium heat until mixture becomes bubbly.
  • Step 4
  • Remove from heat and add sour cream
  • Step 5
  • Fold in the green beans and mix well.
  • Step 6
  • Pour into greased 9x13 casserole dish
  • Step 7
  • Cover with cheddar cheese.
  • Step 8
  • Melt remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and mix with crushed cornflakes. Put on top of casserole.
  • Step 9
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes
