  • 1/2 kg green beans
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 g serrano ham or bacon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt
  • fresh parsley

How to Make Green Beans with Ham

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Green Beans with Ham in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Wash the beans and top and tail them removing any stringy bits and boil for about 8 mins.
  • Step 2
  • Prepare the pepper by sprinkling with oil and baking for about 30 mins in a preheated oven (180°C/350°F) then remove from the oven, allow to cool, remove the skin and and seeds inside, cut into strips and set aside.
  • Step 3
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the ham or bacon (cut into cubes) with the sliced garlic.
  • Step 4
  • Add the beans, red pepper, chopped fresh parsley and salt and continue frying for a few more mins before serving.
