  • 1 lb beef chuck, strip streak, or round (elk or deer highly recommended)
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy souce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup green onion thinnly sliced
  • 1 cup green/red peppers (1 in squares)
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 tomatoes (wedged)

How to Make Green Pepper Steak

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Green Pepper Steak in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • (Optional) Marinate meat in soy sauce for 12 to 24 hours
  • Step 2
  • Heat wok (or skillet) to med-high and add oil
  • Step 3
  • Slice meat into thin (1/2 in) strips and sear meat in wok to desired temperature (medium rare recommended)
  • Step 4
  • Combine choped garlic, soy sauce (if not used in marinade), ginger, onion, pepper, chopped celery, and tomatoes into bowl and mix well
  • Step 5
  • Lower heat of wok to meduim and add all ingedients including cooked meat
  • Step 6
  • Cook 3-4 minutes ( just untill vegetables are slightly cooked)
  • Step 7
  • Best served over egg noodles. Also works with white or brown rice, or over a flour tortilla fajita style
