  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced finely
  • 6 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 celery ribs, finely diced
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 lb small portabella mushrooms, cleaned and cut into quarters
  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp steak seasoning (I use Penzey's or Mc Cormick)
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt (or 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic)
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, or 2 pounds fresh tomatoes diced and seeded

How to Make Ground Turkey Bolognese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Ground Turkey Bolognese in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat the oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add the onion and cook until soft.
  • Step 3
  • Add the garlic and cook for about 2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Step 4
  • Add the celery and carrot and cook until tender, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Add the wine, mushrooms and tomatoes.
  • Step 6
  • Bring to a simmer.

  • Cover and continue to cook.

  • In a pan, cook the turkey, sprinkling it with steak seasoning and garlic salt, breaking it up into small pieces.
  • Step 9
  • Drain well.
  • Step 10
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir.
  • Step 11
  • Add the meat to the sauce and simmer for another 30 minutes.
  • Step 12
  • Serve with whatever pasta you prefer and Parmesan cheese.
