  • 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cup spiced gum drops
  • Decorative topping
  • 1 cup spiced gum drops or as needed to dress up the tops

How to Make Gum Drop Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Gum Drop Chocolate Chip Cookies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 375°F fahrenheit
  • Step 2
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, softened butter, & vanilla extract until creamy.
  • Step 3
  • Add eggs one at a time mixing them into the butter sugar mixture.
  • Step 4
  • Sift together the flour, baking soda, & salt. Add to the butter sugar mixture & combine together.
  • Step 5
  • Gently stir in chocolate chips & 1 1/2 cups of the spiced gum drops
  • Step 6
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a greased or parchment covered cookie sheet. Place a few gumdrops on top of each lump of dough to dress up the cookies.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 9 - 11 minutes. Allow to cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a wire cooling rack. Cool completely before storing. Yeilds about 5 dozen.
