  • 12 habernero peppers
  • 6 serrano peppers
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 2 tsp sugar

How to Make Habenero Pomegranate Hot Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Habenero Pomegranate Hot Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop peppers, onion and garlic. Set inside food processor.
  • Step 2
  • Remove all seeds from pomegranate and run through a juicer. Will produce roughly 4-5 ounces of juice with no pulp or seeds.
  • Step 3
  • add all items (except pom juice)and just enough vinegar to the food processor and let it chop as fine as it will get.
  • Step 4
  • Simmer pomegranate juice on low, stirring frequently, until you notice it is just starting to thicken up. Just trying to evaporate some of the water from the juice.
  • Step 5
  • add all items to pomegranate juice and simmer on very low for about half an hour. Let cool completely then strain with cheesecloth or coffee filters.
  • Step 6
  • Gives a nice sweet note right up front and then the habs take it from there. Very interesting flavor. My new favorite of my homemades!
