  • 1 9 inch pie crust - not cooked
  • 1/2 lb ham, cut into small cubes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, like cheddar, Colby, swiss... your choice
  • 6 eggs
  • 3/4 cup table cream
  • 1 generous pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

How to Make Ham, mushroom & cheese quiche

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Ham, mushroom & cheese quiche in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat the butter in a pan. Add the onion and mushroom. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until the onion is translucent. Add the chopped ham and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool down.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Step 3
  • Crack all the eggs into a mid size bowl. Whisk the eggs, then stir in the cream. Add to that the pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
  • Spoon the cooled ham mixture into the prepared pie shell. Sprinkle the grated cheese over top the ham mixture. Pour the egg and cream mixture over top.
  • Step 5
  • Cook in the middle oven rack at 350°F for 50 - 55 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes before cutting into quiche.
