  • 540 ml White rice
  • Sushi Vinegar:
  • 100 ml Rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Sugar

How to Make Hand-Rolled Sushi

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Hand-Rolled Sushi in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook the rice. I think it tastes nice if cooked with a little bit of dashi konbu. Combine the ingredients for the sushi vinegar and mix into the rice. When mixing, line a wooden sushi tub with a bit of sushi vinegar to stop the rice sticking to the sides.
  • Step 2
  • Quickly warm both sides of the toasted nori over a flame.
  • Step 3
  • Top with watever you like: omelet, cucumber, radish sprouts, pickled daikon radish, tuna, salmon, shiso leaves, canned tuna, prawn, squid etc.
