  • 1 Hanpen
  • 1 tbsp ※Mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tsp Relish (or chopped pickles)

  • 1 tbsp ●Water
  • 1 Hamburger buns(or store-bought)
  • 1 slice Sliced cheese
  • 1 Panko
  • 1 Frying oil
  • 1 Margarine
  • 1 Lettuce

How to Make Hanpen Fish Burgers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Hanpen Fish Burgers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix together the ※ ingredients in a bowl to make the batter. Dredge the hanpen in the batter, then coat it in the panko, and then fry in oil.
  • Step 2
  • Mix together the ● ingredients to make the sauce. Cut the hamburger buns in half and warm in the microwave. (About 20 seconds at 500 W)
  • Step 3
  • Spread margarine on the warmed buns, then top the bottom bun with lettuce, sliced cheese, the fried hanpen, sauce, and the top of the bun. Enjoy! Pictured is the cross-section of the bread.
  • Step 4
  • This is the relish I used. It's made from sweet chopped pickles with herbs and spices.
