  • 1 20 ounce can chunk pineapples
  • 2 bell peppers
  • Marinade
  • 1 pineapple juice from the 20 ounce can.
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

How to Make Hawaiian Chicken Satays

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Hawaiian Chicken Satays in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut chicken into long strips and about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Step 2
  • Mix marinade ingredients and marinate chicken strips for 2 to 4 hour.
  • Step 3
  • Deseed and cut the bell pepper into large chunks.
  • Step 4
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 1 hour.
  • Step 5
  • Thread the pineapples, bell pepper and chicken on to the skewers. (discard the marinade)
  • Step 6
  • Set up your grill for Direct Heating. Take a strip of heavy duty tin foil and fold it over to make a Grill Shield, to protect the handles of the skewers.
  • Step 7
  • Grill about 5 to 6 minutes, flip over and grill about 5 minutes more.
