  • 1/2 block Tofu
  • 1 Green onion or scallion
  • 5 cm Carrot
  • 1 tbsp Chirimen jako
  • 1 can Canned tuna
  • 1 tbsp White sesame seeds
  • 1 dash each Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
  • ☆For the sauce:
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp Sugar

How to Make Healthy Firm Tofu Hamburgers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Healthy Firm Tofu Hamburgers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Wrap the tofu in a paper towel and let sit for 30 minutes to drain the excess water.
  • Step 2
  • Finely julienne the carrot and finely chop the green onion.
  • Step 3
  • In a bowl, combine the drained tofu, carrot, green onion, chirimen jako, canned tuna, and sesame seeds. Mix all the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
  • Flatten out the mixed mixture into round patties, heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry both sides of the patties until golden brown.
  • Step 5
  • Pour the combined sauce over the patties in one go. Simmer until the sauce thickens and the patties are well coated.
