  • For the Golubzi:
  • 1 Cabbage steamed - separated to leaves.
  • 2 Tomatoes - grated.
  • 1 dozen Oil.
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste.
  • For the stuffing:
  • 1 dash Oil.
  • 2 Onions - sliced to half circles.
  • 3 Carrots - sliced to thin strips.
  • 2 Bell peppers - sliced to thin strips.
  • 2 Zucchini - without the peel , sliced to thin stripes.
  • 1/2 Cabbage - sliced to thin stripes.
  • 1 Tamato - grated.
  • 1/2 cup Rice - washed .
  • 1 Salt and pepper to taste.

How to Make Henush Vegetarian "Golubzi"

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Henush Vegetarian "Golubzi" in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • The stuffing: Preheat a pan and add a dash of oil, when the oil is hot add the onions and fry for 5-7 min till transperant.
  • Step 2
  • Add the bell peppers and the carrots and keep frying for another 7 min.
  • Step 3
  • Add the Zucchini and mix for 2-3 min, then add the cabbage, salt ,pepper and mix.
  • Step 4
  • Cover the pan for 5-7 min, after add the tomato and rice and 1 cup hot water.
  • Step 5
  • Mix for 10 min and turn off the fire.
  • Step 6
  • The Golubzi: In the middle of every cabbage leaf put 1 tbs of generous amount stuffing.
  • Step 7
  • Fold the ends of the leaf inside and roll , repeat with all the leaves and keep the small leftovers leaves aside.
  • Step 8
  • Arrange: In a large pan put some of the leftover leaves on the bottom and add a dash of oil.
  • Step 9
  • Arange the stuffed cabbage and after every layer sprinkle the grated tomatoes.
  • Step 10
  • Cover the stuffed cabbage with the rest of the leaves and add salt and pepper.
  • Step 11
  • Add 2 cups of hot water and put on the stove, when the water are boiling lower the heat and cover the pan.
  • Step 12
  • Cook for one hour or till the cabbage leaves are very soft.
  • Step 13
