  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed but not cut
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary leaves, finely crushed
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pinch freshly ground black pepper

  • Place the green beans in a medium saucepan and add enough water to cover them; place over high heat. When the water reaches a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until the beans are tender but still crisp. Drain.
