  • 100 grams dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp water

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Homemade Chocolate Mousse in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a ceramic bowl over boiling water melt the chocolate, water and butter together over a pot of boiling water. (Bain marie method)
  • Step 2
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the sugar and mix well.
  • Step 3
  • Then separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. And one by one add the yolks to the mixture mixing after each one.
  • Step 4
  • Beat the egg whites until they are firm.
  • Step 5
  • Then fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
  • Step 6
  • Once its all nicely mixed spoon into invidual ramekins.
  • Step 7
  • Leave in the fridge for two hours to set.
  • Step 8
  • Once set decorate your mousse. I sprinkled powdered suger over mine just before serving and added a few slices of banana.
