  • Ivory Frosting: Substitute 1/4 cup brown sugar for 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
  • Step 9
  • Peppermint Frosting: Add a few drops of peppermint oil, color frosting to shell pink with food coloring.
  • Step 10
  • Pineapple Parfait Frosting: Substitute syrup from canned pineapple for water. Omit vanilla and add 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel. Garnish with the drained pineapple. Make sure you buy pineapple that is packed in syrup and not juice.
