  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 1 lb skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 each sweet red, yellow, green & yellow pepper, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine, divided
  • Optional
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (to flavor rice)

How to Make Honey-Garlic Chicken & Sweet Pepper Stir-fry

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Honey-Garlic Chicken & Sweet Pepper Stir-fry in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a bowl, whisk a little milk into cornstarch to make a smooth paste. Whisk remaining milk, soy sauce & honey; set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Heat wok or large skillet over high heat. Add half of butter or margarine & swirl to coat. Add chicken & butter & stir-fry for 3 mins or until browned; transfer to a bowl
  • Step 3
  • Add remaining butter or marj to pan then add sweet peppers. Stir-fry for 5 mins or until tender. Return chicken & juices to pan; reduce heat to medium.
  • Step 4
  • Whisk milk mixture then pour into pan. Cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until chicken is no longer pink inside & sauce is thickened.
  • Step 5
  • OPTIONAL: After rice is finished, evenly pour vinegar and fold into rice.
