  • 2 cup Maseca
  • 1 1/3 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Green salsa
  • 1 as needed Refried beans

How to Make Huaraches

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Huaraches in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • In a mixing bowl mix maseca with water and salt , and Massage until the mix does not stick to your hands , and it's easy to work with
  • Step 2
  • Once the maseca is ready , seperate into a 3-4 oz balls
  • Step 3
  • In a shape of a large oval , mild the maseca about 1/4 thick
  • Step 4
  • Preheat the sear plate to a 350" and cook 4 min per side
  • Step 5
  • Once it's cooked , use a tbsp of bacon grease to fry it
  • Step 6
  • Then add refried beans , salsa , and choice of steak or just melted Monterrey cheese
