Ingredients: Hummus

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 c canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/3 c tahini (sesame paste)
  • 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh flat leaf parsley

How to Make Hummus

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Hummus in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Turn on the food processor fitted with the steel blade and drop the garlic down the feed tube; process until it's minced.
  • Step 2
  • Add all the other ingredients except the parsley and pulse until the mixture is smooth.
  • Step 3
  • Transfer to a bowl and stir in the parsley. Taste for seasoning, cover and store in the fridge for up to one week. Serve at room temp. 70 calories/serving; GL=70, Glycals=2
