  • 2 cm Ginger
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 Salt
  • Optional
  • 1/2 Potatoes

How to Make Indian Sautéed Cauliflower (Aloo Gobi)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Indian Sautéed Cauliflower (Aloo Gobi) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop cauliflower into small 1 cm bits, and mince onion, garlic, and ginger.
  • Step 2
  • Heat oil in a pan, and sauté garlic and ginger.
  • Step 3
  • Once they turn aromatic and a nice golden brown, add the onion and sauté until it caramelizes.
  • Step 4
  • Add cauliflower and lightly stir.
  • Step 5
  • Add turmeric, cumin powder, cayenne pepper, a scant 1/2 teaspoon salt, and stir.
  • Step 6
  • It should look like this.
  • Step 7
  • Cover with a lid, and steam for 10 minutes, or until the vegetables become tender. Stir from time to time to prevent burning.
  • Step 8
  • Adjust salt to taste. Serve with curry or rice.
