  • 1 can Canned tomato
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 Salt and pepper
  • 3 bowlful Hot cooked white rice
  • 4 Mozzarella cheese (cubed)
  • flour, egg, panko breadcrumbs For the coating
  • 1 Frying oil

How to Make Italian at Home Rice Croquettes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Italian at Home Rice Croquettes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Stir-fry the garlic and onion with olive oil. When they are cooked, add the canned tomato and season with salt and pepper. Simmer to reduce the tomato sauce.
  • Step 2
  • When most of the water has evaporated, pour half of the sauce over the microwaved rice and mix.
  • Step 3
  • Divide the rice from Step 2 into sixths. Press in the diced mozzarella cheese into the center. Form into round rice balls.
  • Step 4
  • Dredge the rice balls with flour, beaten eggs, and panko. Roll them around in the pan and deep-fry.
  • Step 5
  • When the croquettes are golden brown, take them out. Transfer onto a serving dish. Serve with warmed sauce from Step 1 to finish.
