Ingredients: Italian Garlic Marinara Sauce

  • 10 plum tomatoes or can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tomato paste & water if needed

How to Make Italian Garlic Marinara Sauce

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Italian Garlic Marinara Sauce in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • add olive oil to pan on medium heat & add minced garlic & do not let burn
  • Step 2
  • chop tomatoes & remove seeds & add to pan if you don't want skin from tomatoes boil for a minute and peel skin off...or empty can of chopped tomatoes into pan & either way add a cup of water unless you like a very thick sauce
  • Step 3
  • add all other ingredients & stir in & let cook on medium heat
  • Step 4
  • if sauce is too watery add tablespoon of tomato paste at a time until desired thickness is reached
  • Step 5
  • cook & let simmer for another 15 minutes stirring & pressing down to crush tomatoes
  • Step 6
  • cook until desired thickness is reaches & serve on top of your favorite pasta or food & enjoy!
