  • 1 3/4 cup Flour
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Anise Extract
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 as needed Powdered sugar (to dust the tops)

How to Make Italian Pizzelle's

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Italian Pizzelle's in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, sugar, salt, baking soda)
  • Step 2
  • Combine all wet ingredients in a different bowl (eggs, vanilla, anise)
  • Step 3
  • Wipe eggs, vanilla and anise together until light and fluffy
  • Step 4
  • Combine with dry ingredients and mix just until all ingredients come together
  • Step 5
  • Heat up Pizzelle press
  • Step 6
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop 3/4 of a tablespoon onto the Pizzelle press at a time, watch until golden brown (30-45 seconds)
  • Step 7
  • Take out and lay flat and top with powdered sugar dusting
