Ingredients: Italian Sausage Rigatoni

  • 1/2 lb Hot Italian Sausage (bulk or sqeeze from casings)
  • 1 can Diced Tomato, undrained (15 oz can)
  • 2/3 cup Diced Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 can Black Olives (2 1/4 oz). I did not use that, don't like olives.
  • 8 oz Spinach
  • 12 oz Rigatoni Pasta, Cooked according to directions and drained
  • 1 Salt
  • 1 Parmesan or other Italian Cheese Mix

How to Make Italian Sausage Rigatoni

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Italian Sausage Rigatoni in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook Pasta according to directions
  • Step 2
  • While Pasta is cooking, place Sausage and Onion in a large Skillet and cook over medium-high heat until Sausage is no longer pink.
  • Step 3
  • Drain Grease and wipe Pan with a Paper Towel. Return Mixture to Pan.
  • Step 4
  • Add Tomatoes and Italian Seasoning.
  • Step 5
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 10 to 15 Minutes.
  • Step 6
  • Add Cream and Olives (if using) and heat thoroughly but not boiling.
  • Step 7
  • Add Spinach and stir until wilted.
  • Step 8
  • Stir in cooked Pasta.
  • Step 9
  • Add Salt to taste.
  • Step 10
  • Top with Cheese and serve.
