  • 1 lb live mussels
  • 1/2 lb red pepper spaghetti
  • 1 oz parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry, spanish, red wine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper flake
  • 2 tbsp evoo
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cup of homemade marinara sauce
  • 10 castelvetrano olives, chopped

How to Make Italian style Mussels and Pasta

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Italian style Mussels and Pasta in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook pasta, Al Dente.
  • Step 2
  • add wine, evoo and brown sugar to marinara sauce and reduce for 30 minutes on low heat.
  • Step 3
  • heat skillet to medium/high add water, mussels, red pepper, salt, pepper, basil and garlic to skillet.
  • Step 4
  • put pasta on a plate, top with marinara sauce and chopped olives.
  • Step 5
  • place mussels on top of pasta and drizzle the fresh lemon juice and parmesan cheese for the final touch.
  • Step 6
  • EAT.
