Ingredients: Jalapeno Chili

  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 cup Coarsely chopped, onions
  • 1 lb Hot Italian Sausage, cut into 1 inch lengths
  • 1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage, cut into 1 inch lengths
  • 6 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 lb ground beef chuck
  • 2 red bell peppers, cored, seeded and diced
  • 3 -35 oz cans plum tomatoes, drained
  • 6 jalapenos, cored-seeded and diced
  • 1 cup chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 6 tbsp chili powder
  • 3 tbsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 lb roma tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 shredded jack cheese
  • 1 sour cream
  • 1 sliced scallions

How to Make Jalapeno Chili

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Jalapeno Chili in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat a large heavy skillet over medium heat, saute sausages till brown than drain
  • Step 2
  • Heat a dutch oven or heavy stockpot with oil over medium heat
  • Step 3
  • Add onions and garlic, cook 3-5 mins.
  • Step 4
  • Raise heat to med- high and crumble in ground chuck. cook till browned.
  • Step 5
  • add sausage, red peppers and jalapenos, cook 10 mins
  • Step 6
  • stir in canned tomatoes, parsley, tomato paste, all herbs and spices, cook 10 mins
  • Step 7
  • add fresh tomatoes, cook 10 mins.
  • Step 8
  • serve with jack cheese, sour cream & scallions
