  • 12 each jalapeño
  • 1/2 each red onion
  • 6 each garlic cloves
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt

    Step 1
  • Prep the vegetables. Slice the onion. Mince the garlic. Slice the jalapeño, remove the seeds.
  • Step 2
  • Place into hot (medium heat) oiled pan. Stir until the vegetables soften.
  • Step 3
  • Add the water. Let cook until water is almost gone (about 20 minutes)
  • Step 4
  • Let the vegetables cool to room temperature.
  • Step 5
  • Place mixture into a blender. Add vinegar. Blend.
  • Step 6
  • Pour over a fine sieve.
  • Step 7
  • Let the sauce age for a week before using.
