Ingredients: Jambalaya

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 lb bacon ends
  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup okra , chopped
  • 3 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/2 cup squash, chopped
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 can black beans
  • 4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 cup rice
  • 4 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 Hot sauce ( as wanted )

How to Make Jambalaya

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Jambalaya in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Brown turkey, set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Fry bacon ends, set aside.
  • Step 3
  • Cubed smoked sausage and brown.
  • Step 4
  • Add onion , celery & peppers. Cook til soft.
  • Step 5
  • Add turkey and bacon to smoked sausage mixture.
  • Step 6
  • Combine all remaining ingredients in a large pot with meat mixture.
  • Step 7
  • Heat til boiling. Cover and simmer 25-30 min. Until rice is tender.
