  • 250 grams butter
  • 140 grams icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 375 grams flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 jam of choice, I prefer rasberry

How to Make Jammie Dodgers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Jammie Dodgers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Whisk softened butter and icing sugar till fluffy. Add in vanilla essence and egg yolk.
  • Step 2
  • Sift in flour gradually mixing into a firm dough.
  • Step 3
  • Roll out into 4 mm sheets and using a cutter or glass, cut out round buscuit size discs (bases). Take half of the buscuits and cut a further hole in the middle (tops). Place on greaseproof baking tray and bake at 170°F for approx 10 mins or untill golden.
  • Step 4
  • Remove from oven and leave to cool. When cooled, spread the whole buscuit bases with the jam, and place the buscuit tops with the holes on top to form a sandwich. Enjoy!
